What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to ceremony time.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No need for a tux and top hat, but no cutoff tee and tennis shoes, please! Dress for the weather since some of the day is outdoors.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love kids, this will not be a kid friendly event.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel block set up at the Hampton Inn Huntsville/Providence- Group rate under Scott Dotson Wedding. Other hotels in the area are Springhill Suites and Homewood Suites, but no block set up.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is onsite parking. Someone will be able to assist you, when you arrive. We are out on 50 acres of land-- please be aware of gravel, ditches, and other earthly elements.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We do not have any transportation set up, but if you need assistance please contact one of us or our wedding coordinator. Orbitzshuttleservice.com is a service that might be able to assist with group needs.

I'm not familiar with the location, what if I can't find it?

Answer

There will be a sign out on the road and once you turn in, there will be markers guiding you to veer to the left and to the venue. If you have any other questions, please contact our wedding coordinator Emily.

Question

Is smoking allowed on the property?

Answer

Since we are out on a lot of farm land and the facilities are all made of wood, we ask that you only smoke in the gravel parking lot. There is no smoking permitted under the pavilion, in the barn, or in the grass. Please dispose in designated cans in parking lot and not on the ground.
