The first time I met Joshua was at my sorority's Semi-Formal during my freshman year of college. Although he wasn't my date, I quickly noticed how kind and silly he was. Later that winter break, we ran into each other again coincidentally in Breckenridge, Colorado. I was there with a group of friends, and Joshua happened to be there as well. Fast forward to the end of freshman year—Joshua randomly called me one night and said he wanted to stop by College Station to say hi. I felt a little heart sparkle for him after that conversation, and it continued to grow as we talked over the summer while we were both working at different camps. During that time apart, I got to learn more about Joshua's heart for the Lord and his kindness toward others. Once I finished camp, we finally had our first date in Dallas. He took me to one of his favorite breakfast restaurants and then surprised me with a trip to the Perot Museum. We went on a few more dates and officially started dating at the beginning of sophomore year! Looking back over the last three years of knowing Joshua, I’m filled with so much gratitude. The Lord has been so kind in allowing me to know and love him. I can’t wait to marry my best friend and do life together so soon!
