We found each other on Tinder. That would be a cool story, but Tinder didn't exist when we met and thank goodness! We actually met through our friends, Debo and Lester! Debo and Lester are sister and brother and have been our friends since we were little. We both spent a ton of time at their house. This means, Josh and I have likely known each other since we were 8 and 10, but have NO RECOLLECTION of it! As if that weren't enough; we were both born at the same hospital, attended the same elementary school in Edmonds at the same time, love the number 8, dislike olives, love the same kind of pizza, were chubby kids growing up and are Virgos. That basically means, we are meant to be. ;) We met on Josh's 26th birthday and never looked back.

We were both lucky enough to grow up in families that kept us busy in the outdoors. Each of us had a deep rooted love for the outdoors, but had gone different directions in our teens/20's. Our relationship brought us back to our roots and we soon found ourselves collecting ALL things outdoors and spending our weekends in the mountains rather than out on the town. One thing led to another and three years later we were roaming around South America and creating some of the most memorable experiences of our lives. It was such a dream as is our love for one another. Our South American adventures put our love and patience to the test, but we came home smiling! We are beyond excited to start this next chapter of our lives together in a way that is perfect for us.

We weighed our options and we weighed them again. And then just to be sure we weighed them about 10 more times and finally decided on the perfect situation for us. We're keeping some traditions alive, but have opted for a simple, intimate ceremony in the mountains. We appreciate the love and support every one of you have provided us along the way and look forward to sharing stories and photos with you of this special day.
