We're getting married!

Dave and Nikki frequently saw each other on Sundays attending Bethany Christian Church. After several years of head nods and waves, they eventually were introduced (thanks to Buddy and Kitty Jones!). On a rainy July night, they ran into each other at a Marshall Tucker Band concert and 'heard it in a love song.' From there the adventure started...

One of our first dates was at Captain Ratty's in downtown New Bern. After a fun evening of wandering around downtown and winning at giant jenga, we ended our night in a cozy corner of the restaurant laughing til our sides hurt, as usual. Dave knew that would be the perfect place for a proposal. On May 11th, 2016 Nikki said yes to the man of her dreams! A rooftop dinner and gorgeous sunset in the background made for a breathtaking moment with Dave on one knee and Nikki speechless for once. After she said yes, she looked over the rooftop railing and said "don't drop the ring!"

Dave and Nikki are soulmates who were fortunately in the right place, at the right time, and blessed by God. They reside in Cove City, NC-where their hearts have always been. Dave grew up in Tuscarora and Nikki practically grew up there, spending most of her days at Turkey Quarter Farm. Between their own farm and the creek, they make the most of every moment. They fish every chance they get, hunt when it's legal, and celebrate for no reason most of the time. #teamawesome
