As per the current NYS mandate, events with less than 100 guests do not need to present proof of a negative covid-19 test or proof of vaccination prior to entry. However, all guests will be emailed a consent form and are required to hand it in upon arrival on the day of the wedding at check-in. In addition, guests must wear face masks when not seated. This is all subject to change. Again, please check this website regularly for updates as covid-19 event protocols are rapidly changing every day. Thank you. (last revision: 5/1/21)
We met at Dunkin Donuts many years ago. Jamie used to work at Dunkin Donuts when she was a teenager, while Andrew worked at McDonald's. One day, while Jamie was at work, her guy friends came to visit and demanded free doughnuts as per usual. Andrew was with her friends. Jamie charged everyone for their doughnuts except for Andrew because he was polite, and she had never seen him before. She definitely had a crush, but the timing wasn't right. A few years later, in October, Jamie and Andrew started hanging out and were basically inseparable. Their first kiss was on New Year's Eve in 2009, which then became their anniversary. They celebrated their 12th year anniversary on 1.1.2021!
Please check out our proposal video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxp1MyL5ZeI All of summer 2018, Jamie had been saying "I wanna go to Kismet, I've never been." On Friday, September 14th, Jamie and Andrew took the ferry over to Kismet, Fire Island for dinner. When they arrived at Kismet, Andrew asked Jamie to take a walk down to the beach so he could fly his new drone and capture the sunset with the lighthouse. When they got to the beach, Andrew told Jamie to walk down the beach towards the lighthouse so that he could set a function on his drone to capture the both of them walking and holding hands. After walking for about a minute, Andrew told Jamie to stop and turn around. When Jamie turned around, Andrew was down on one knee. Andrew then asked Jamie to marry him as the drone orbited and captured the entire proposal. Andrew and Jamie had the entire beach to themselves that evening; it could not have been any more magical. Afterwards, they went to have dinner at Surf's Out. Andrew had reserved a water view table with champagne and roses waiting. The entire restaurant applauded upon arrival; it was like a scene out of a movie. It was the most perfect proposal a girl could ask for! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
As you know, our original wedding date was on April 25, 2020. Then coronavirus hit and turned the world upside down for everyone. In the midst of trying to postpone and reschedule, we decided to exchange our vows to each other on our original wedding day. So on April 25, 2020, we drove out to Montauk with our new pup, Monte, and professed our love to each other on a beach. Even though it wasn't the day we originally hoped for, it was truly beautiful. To watch our vow exchange, see this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNvnv_jnK2o Our wedding was then postponed to June 27, 2020 ... because we thought the world would go back to normal by then, LOL. At that time, our European honeymoon was still on. We wanted to get legally married so that we would be true "honeymooners." We had a small, intimate ceremony in Andrew's mom's backyard on June 27, 2020 to legally tie the knot. Due to NYS covid-19 restrictions, we were unable to invite all of our family and friends. That is why we are so excited for May 8, 2021. We can't to celebrate our marriage with ALL of our family and friends this time!
