FAQs

Question

When should I book my flight?

Answer

Whenever you want! Track flight prices and book whenever is right for you.

Question

What day should I fly in and out?

Answer

Departing flights are available almost everyday. We are planning to leave on February 9th (Tuesday) to have ample time to settle in and prepare. Please take into account that the travel there is long (~16 hours) and you will arrive mid afternoon. Barbados is two hours ahead, so there may be a slight adjustment to the time difference. Return flights are as short as 10 hours and you are free to leave any day after the wedding. We want to do as many activities as possible with everyone but understand that there are commitments and responsibilities waiting at home. We’re just glad to have you join us!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

The west coast and the south end of the island are the most popular areas and populated areas, playing host to swim-friendly beaches, restaurants, nightlife, and tourist destinations. The wedding ceremony and reception will be held on the west coast, near Holetown. Stay wherever works best for you - whether that be an Airbnb, VRBO, or hotel.

Question

Is there anything I should know before my flight?

Answer

Please ensure that your passport will not be within 6 months of expiry at the time of the flight. You will be prompted to complete immigration forms via your airline 24 hours before your flight. You will also have to complete immigration forms once you land. Make sure that you have the address of your accommodations on hand for when you land.

Question

What currency should I bring and how much should I expect to spend when there?

Answer

The Barbadian dollar is pegged to the US dollar at a ratio of 2 BBD = 1 USD. Prices in Barbados may be listed in either, but you will almost certainly receive BBD in change. Bring however much you want! ATMs are plentiful and function as you'd expect (fees, currency exchange, etc.). Credit cards are also accepted by most standard vendors, though cash is still king for transportation and any other transactions paid to an individual. Tipping is generally considered a bonus but is not necessarily expected except at higher-end restaurants and in service-related circumstances that don't explicitly call for payment (ex: someone carrying your bags at the airport). Bargaining is often expected. Value Added Tax (VAT) is included in all prices. You will notice most prices posted in whole numbers, making the math easy to follow.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know if you will be joining us by September 14, 2026.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We do not have a registry as we have everything we need and only want to have the best time in the sun with our loved ones.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please adhere to a more formal dress code for the wedding but also keep in mind that it is HOT in Barbados. Linens and light cotton fabrics are recommended. Try to avoid black or darker colours and heavier fabrics. WEAR SUN BLOCK.
