Things To Know

Hi everyone! Thank you for celebrating with us. As you make your travel plans, we wanted to point out a few things. Our venue, The Market at Grelen, is approximately a 2 hour drive from the D.C. area. For our D.C. area guests intending to stay the duration of our reception and / or consume alcoholic beverages, we strongly recommend booking an overnight hotel in the Charlottesville area; we have reserved hotel blocks (linked on this page) and a shuttle for your convenience. Our venue is located in an area with limited cellular access. Uber and Lyfts from the venue will likely NOT be available. Easy Riders, a group transportation company, will transport our guests to and from the venue. Easy Riders will pickup guests from the Home2 Suites parking lot at 3:40 PM, and will pickup guests from the Omni bus station off W Water St at 3:50 PM. Return shuttles will leave The Market at Grelen at 9 PM and 11 PM. If you are intending to drive your own vehicle to and from our venue, hotels in Orange, VA should be considered. The drive from Orange, VA to The Market at Grelen is approximately 10 minutes. For our out of town guests, CHO is the closest airport to our venue. If you intend to fly into IAD or DCA, please note that our venue is approximately a 1.5 - 2 hr drive from those airports. We recommend taking a train or bus, renting a car, or carpooling.

Routes directly from Union Station in Washington, D.C. (accessible via the "Union Station" WMATA metro stop) to Charlottesville, VA.

CHO flies direct to four major connector airports in Atlanta, Charlotte, New York (LaGuardia), and Washington D.C. (Dulles).
