It all started at a Super bowl party at D. J. L.T.’s house back in 2009 I was dragged to the party by Gail, my Angel… “come on Lin, we’ll just go for a little while…” Reluctantly, I went! Well, 3 hours later, great music, adult beverages, food, a stripper pole in the middle of the living room/dance floor, a closet turned into a music room, & oh yeah, the Super bowl game on the big screen, I met Stu… We danced, laughed & flirted with each other and the next thing we knew… Gail walked over to us and says, “I’m leaving” and says to Stu, “will you drive her home, looks like you 2 are hitting it off…” And with that, Gail was out! I stayed, danced and flirted some more with the “Man” who at that time, I didn’t know, was going to be my future husband. Who knew Stu, did you? Stuart asked me to be his “Wife for Life” on Friday, October 29, 2017. He went to Kay’s, got the "Ring", and when I got home from work Friday evening, I ran into him getting out of his car, kinda of running around looking like he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar! I said to him, “What are you up to? Stu looked at me smirking and said, “what are you talking about, nothing…” We got up stairs, got comfortable, settling into our Friday movie nite, when Stuart called me over to the couch and said , “Babe, come here & sit down” as he patted the place on the couch next to him… Stu said, “ I can’t get down on one knee, cuz I won’t be able to get back up, and you won’t be able to help get me back up, (both of us laughing). Stu said, “Babe, I love you, will you marry me?” I starting laughing, I guess it was nervous energy, then he opened the "Ring" box and I started to cry. We hugged and kissed and I looked up to the sky and said, "Thank you Gail”. I said “Yes, Stuart White, I will marry you".
