We believe that fate brought us together. Although we were born on opposite ends of the planet, we ended up in the same city, went to the same high school, and worked at the same place for 3 years. However, it was not until we were pushed next to each other one more time and ended up in the same honors program at Lone Star that we finally met. Fate continued to push us together until we finally had the guts to speak to each other. The rest is like a romantic comedy - filled with fun dates and a lot of nerves until Chris finally asked Malendy to be his girlfriend on 04.05.17

The proposal was what every girl dreams of - romantic, thoughtful, exciting, and unique. Chris spent months creating a scavenger hunt for Malendy in their hometown that would take her through their relationship. Malendy was given clues to go back to the spots where they first met, had their first date, where they first said I love you, and finally to the spot he asked her to become his girlfriend 3 years ago. Each spot had some pictures of them together from those locations and a message from Chris about what that place meant to him. As you can imagine, Malendy was crying tears of joy the whole way. The final spot of the scavenger hunt held Malendy's treasure - her husband to be, down on one knee as he asked her to marry him.
