New York City Marathon - Sunday, November 3rd

The New York City Marathon will be taking place Sunday, November 5th. Unless you plan to stay to watch, we would suggest traveling out of the city on Saturday to avoid detours as the marathon race route runs through Brooklyn and Manhattan. *The linked article provides details for the 2022 race but the route will be the same in 2023

Getting to/from New York City

There are many ways you can travel to New York/Brooklyn 1/ Drive - Please check with your hotel if they offer parking, otherwise street parking is usually free. 2/ Amtrak or NJ Transit - This will get you to Penn Station. From there you can taxi (there is typically a line on 7th Ave), Uber/Lyft, or take the subway. 3/ Metro-North - This will get you to Grand Central Terminal. From there you can take a taxi (there is typically a line on 42nd Street), Uber/Lyft, or take the subway. 4/ Flying - New York City is served by three airports: JFK, Newark Liberty (both international) and LaGuardia (domestic/local flights). There are various ways of getting into the city center from each airport.

Getting to/from Threes Brewing

Once you're in the city, taxis, Uber or Lyft will likely be the most convenient transportation option for getting to/from the event. If you'd like to take the subway, Three's Brewing is a... 4 minute walk from Union St subway station (R line) 10 minute walk from Atlantic Terminal subway station (2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, & R lines) The 2 & 3 trains will take you directly from Penn Station if you're traveling via Amtrak or NJ Transit 15 minute walk from Bergen St subway station (F & G lines) Google Maps provides a very easy function or navigating public transit.

We've provided some links to hotels that are close to Threes Brewing but you are more than welcome to stay wherever in the city you like. If you plan on staying until Sunday, we suggest checking the marathon route to make sure your travel plans will not be disrupted by road closures. Hotels in Downtown Brooklyn are also convenient to the venue - a 20-30 minute walk, 10 minute cab/Uber ride, or accessible via subway.

Cirencester is easily accessible from both M4 and M5 motorways. If you are driving and planning to stay the night, please check with your hotel about parking.

Getting to Cirencester from London

If you're coming from London without a car you have two options: 1/ Take the National Express bus (click link below) from Victoria Coach Station to Cirencester. 2/ From Paddington Station take the train to Kemble. You will need to organize a taxi service to pick you up from Kemble and take you to your hotel/the venue.

Getting to Cirencester from Heathrow

If you're coming directly from Heathrow you have two options: 1/ Take the National Express bus (click link below) directly from Heathrow to Cirencester. 2/ Take the Heathrow Express or Elizabeth Line to Paddington. From Paddington take the train to Kemble. You will need to organize a taxi service to pick you up from Kemble and take you to your hotel/the venue.

We have arranged a bus from Cirencester Market Place to the Crown at Ampney Brook (leaving at 11:45), and a return trip leaving the Crown at Ampney Brook at 4pm. We have prioritised seats on the bus for those without cars and/or who are staying in hotels in Cirencester on the Saturday night - If we have not already reached out to you directly about taking the bus and you would like to use it, please contact us as soon as possible (and before May 20th) so we can accommodate you.
