Travel Note
1. Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) Most Convenient Option: Pearson is located directly in Mississauga and is the closest airport (about 15-20 minutes by car). If you're flying internationally or domestically, YYZ is the primary hub for reaching Mississauga. 2. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) Smaller Airport: Located on Toronto Island, about 30 minutes from Mississauga. It is mainly used for regional flights and might be less convenient for international travel, but it's a closer alternative to YYZ. 3. Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) Crossing the Border: Fly into Buffalo and drive to Mississauga. The drive takes about 1.5-2 hours, depending on traffic and the wait time at the border crossing (typically via the Peace Bridge into Canada). 4. Driving from Chicago to Toronto If you're up for a road trip, driving from Chicago to Toronto is a good option. The drive takes about 8 to 9 hours, depending on traffic and border wait times. 🚗 Option 1: Detroit–Windsor Crossing Via: I-94 E to Detroit, then cross via Ambassador Bridge or Detroit-Windsor Tunnel Pros: More direct, usually faster overall Cons: Can get congested, especially during peak hours 🚗 Option 2: Port Huron–Sarnia Crossing (Blue Water Bridge) Via: I-94 E all the way to Port Huron, MI, then cross the Blue Water Bridge into Sarnia, ON Pros: Often less traffic, smoother border experience Cons: Adds about 30–45 minutes to the drive, but may be worth it for a more relaxed trip
