“Flying away with the Mccaws”

On Valentine’s Day of 2022, it was planned to have a “Galentine’s Day ” with the women at our apartment complex club area. This was the first time the in-laws were meeting in person and all the men were supposed to hangout in the apartment separating themselves from the women. The Men eventually were “hungry” so they came over and to grab snacks. As the song, Give me a chance by Jamie Foxx started playing and Derek began to walk up the stairs focusing on Ma’lecha, it was then when she realized what was really going on. Derek walked up to her and got down on one Knee and said, “Ma’lecha, will you Marry Me!” To our surprise, all of our close relatives were gathered together for this special moment and filled with joy, nodding her head YES in shame, we were Finally engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Fall!
