We met at Camp Meeting in 2017. Maleah noticed Tristen looking at her many times through the night. They were both singing on the youth choir that night and the disk skipped on Tristen's solo. Maleah DM'ed him on instagram that night and told him that he still sounded amazing despite the chaos of the song. From that point on they never stopped talking and he asked her to be his girlfriend less than a month after that!

Tristen often times joked with Maleah that they were going to date forever and not get married. On Monday the 25th of November, Tristen had been making these jokes all day. To make up for it, he told Maleah they could go out and look at Christmas Lights at the Sunken Gardens in Huntington. When we got down to the bottom of the gardens, the Huntington University Cross Country team was under a gazebo with candles in a circle and that's where Tristen got down on one knee and asked Maleah to marry him!
