Im Jahre 2015 an einem schoenen Herbsttag trafen zwei Leute aus verschienenden Teilen der Welt per Zufall in Zollikofen aufeinander. Fiona wollte einer ihrer besten Freundinnen unterstuetzen und half ihr mit ihrer Nichte. Chris absolvierte zu dieser Zeit ein Praktikum in Paris und wollte ueber das Wochenende in die Schweiz wo er vor 4 Jahren fuer ein halbes Jahr eine Mission seiner Kirche gedient hat und den Tempel besuchen. Doch vergass er seinen Tempelschein und dachte sich er werde nicht nach Zollikofen gehen. Jedoch hatte er aus unerklaehrlichen Gruenden ein ganz starkes gefuehl er sollte alles versuechen um die Moeglichkeit zu haben dort hin zu gehen. So kam es das beide zur gleichen Zeit draussen waren. Fiona traf auf Chris warenddem er mit einer seinen besten Freunden Dennis eine Pizza verspeiste. Beide kamen ins Gespraech und so kam es das Chris ihr ein paar Stunden spaeter auf Facebook eine Freundschaftsanfrage schickte.

Wer haette gedacht dass diese zwei Leute sich wiedereinmal sehen wuerden. Im April 2016 ging Fiona von Kanada nach Utah hinunter. Sie hat einen Beitrag geschrieben auf FB und damit Chirs's Aufmerksamkeit gewonnen. Endlich war die Schweizerin in der Gegend. Somit konnte er nicht anders als die Gelegenheit nutzen und sie nach einem Date fragen, damit er sie besser kennen lernen konnte. Fiona mochte nie wirklich Dates und sagte den Jungs normalerweise ab. Aber irgendewas in ihr versuchte ihr verstehen zu geben dass sie ihm eine Chance geben sollte. Also willigte sie ein sich mit ihm zu treffen. Sie trafen sich beim Provo City Tempel (Es scheint so als waere der Tempel ihr Ort des Treffens). Er lud sie ein Sushi essen zu gehen, ohne zu wissen dass dies einer ihrer lieblings Speisen ist, und wanderten in der Dunkelheit den Huegel hinauf wo das beruemte Y steht. Als sie dort ankamen waren sie die einzigen dort oben und sie beobachteten die Stadt von oben (typisch Amerikanisches Date haha). Sie redeten ueber ganz viele verschiedene Sachen und konnten feststellen wie einfach es fuer sie beide war miteinander ein Gespraech zu fuehren und wie unkompliziert es war. Sie blieben auf bis morgen um 4 Uhr, obwohl Chris am naechsten Tag Schuele hatte und sogar Abschlusspruefungen. Aber die Gesprache die die beiden hatten, genossen sie zu fest.

Who would have thought that those two would meet again. In April 2016, Fiona travelled down to Utah with some of her Canadian friends. She posted something on Facebook and won the attention of Chris. Finally the Swiss girl was in town and he just had to ask her out on a date and use the opportunity to get to know her better. Fiona hated going on dates an usually declined. But something told her she shouldn't. So she agreed with meeting up with him. They met up at the provo city temple (It seems like all good things are happening at the temple for those two). He took her out for Sushi, without knowing that Sushi was one of Fionas favorite dishes. After the amazing sushi, the two were hiking up the the big Y up the hill. When they arrived no one was up there and they were watching the city lights and talked about so many different things. One thing that both of them felt was, how easy it was to talk to each other. So even Chris had school the next day and even a final exam, they were talking till 4pm in the morning.

Back in Utah Chris asked Fiona to join him to go down and visit one of his best friends in Las Vegas. Fiona was struggling with the decision of going on a roadtrip with a guy she barely knew or stay in Utah where she knew she was safe. But luckily Fiona is always up for a new adventure and Chris turnt out to be a very handsome guy and not a serialkiller. They had a 6h roadtrip with lots of laughter and holding hands. In Las Vegas they met up with Dennis with his gorgeous girlfriend Paige, and beautiful Hillary. Chris hugged Fiona and Hillary turnt around and said:"Ohh so cute I didn't know you two were together." Okay that was like a really awkward moment for the both. They knew they really liked each other, but they didn't know what they were and how the other person felt. Later that day, Dennis, Paige, Chris and Fiona planned on going to watch a movie, but Paige was scarred of watching shallow and Dennis and Paige bailed on them. After the "romantic" movie Chris asked Fiona, "What are you thinking", as honest as Fiona is she said," what Hillary said!", Chris responded fast ,"I want to be more than just your friend", Fiona was confident no matter what, if it was meant to be they will make it work. Faith and Love can overcome everything.

An einem romantischen Abend in New York, Fiona und Chris standen neben einem Springbrunnen. Chris nahm Fiona in seine Arme und sagte zum ersten Mal "Ich liebe dich". Jedoch war er so schockiert dass er dies laut ausgesprochen hat, dass er sich sofort entschuldigte. " I love you, I am sorry!" On a romantic evening in New York, Fiona and Chris were in front of a water fountain. Chris took Fiona in his arm, and said "I love you" for the first time. But he was so shocked for saying it out lout that he apologized right after. "I Love you, I am sorry!"

To start and celebrate the new year together, Fiona and Chris met up in Washington DC. A day before when Chris was flying in, she had no idea that he had a strong prompting about proposing to her on new years eve instead on her Birthday. But when that day came, Chris started to give Fiona some hints. The first hint was when they were doing exercises together. One of his friends texted him and without a question he said, "Ahh Ariel texted me, but I can't talk to you about it." He took a lot longer in the bath room than usual, and if you know Chris, you know that it already takes him hours. First they visited Chrises aunt. And Miguel asked his sister to tell the two what a perfect marriage means. Fiona was just thinking, not again.. Everyone is talking about marriage. When they left, Fiona almost found the ring, And Chris reacted a little abrupt. But even with all those hints, Fiona didn't wanted to think to much about it. When they finally arrived at the National Harbor, they were heating to the Ferries wheel. They were still standing in line when The Fireworks and the New Year started. Before they went on to the Ferries Wheel, Chris asked Fiona, "What would be the perfect Proposal to you?" That moment Fiona knew what was going to happen. When Chris and Fiona finally made it to the Ferris Wheel, Chris had this cute big smile over his whole face and told Fiona how special she is to him and how much she means to him. He told her life without her wouldn't be the same. Than he went on his knees and said "The fireworks alreadt stopped, but I have one on my own!" and than he asked her to marry him. Both started to cry for happiness and then Chris really knew that her honest answer was YES! For Fiona it was the best proposal she could have ever wished for and one of the most beautiful moments in her life. To know that this incredible guy wants to be with her forever, even with all her faults and difficulties, just made her really happy.

Fiona reiste viel umher und konnte in ihrem Leben viele Erfahrungen sammeln. Doch hatte sie immer das Gefuehl etwas fehlte in ihrem Leben und sie kam noch nicht an ihrem Ziel an. Als sie Chris kennen lernte, merkte sie dass er anders war und was ganz spezielles. Er gibt ihr Gebrogenheit und Sicherheit. Sie fuelt sich Geliebt und in jeder Situation kann er sie ermuntern. Er ist das Licht in ihrem Leben und endlich hat sie dass in ihrem Leben gefunden worauf sie schon immer gewartet hat. Vor vielen Jahren teilte jemand ein Zitat mit ihr. "Du weisst wenn du die wahre Liebe gefunden hast, wenn jemand eine bessere Person aus dir macht." All diese Jahre dieser Spruch begleitete sie. Fiona kann sich selbst sein um Chris herum, doch er holt das beste aus ihr heraus. Fiona war schon immer eine Traumerin und glaubte an die wahre Liebe. Und das ist sie immer noch. Sie fand ihre wahre Liebe.

Fiona travelled a lot in her life and had a lot of different experiences. But she always felt like she hasn't arrived and something in her life was missing. When she met Chris, she could feel that this guy was someone speciel. He makes her feel safe, loved and she feels like he lifts her up. He is the light in her life and she feels like she has finally found what she was missing in her life. Fiona was always a dreamer and believed in true love. And she still is! She has found her true love and her solemate.

Chris has always believed that the best things in life happen when you least expect them. Fiona has changed his life inside and out by showing him how beautiful life can be when you find your true love. Fiona has taught him so much about the importance of living life to the fullest but at the same time to enjoy every moment even the small ones. Chris has never laughed so hard as he has with Fiona and has never felt so much joy in doing the most simple things. Fiona has taught him that all things in life can be accomplished together as a team, and that united nothing can stand in their way. Chris is grateful for Fiona's love and light that she brings to his life. He always tells her that it is no coincidence that her name means light. Her smile can light up his day in an instant and he loves to see her happy more than anything else. Chris truly feels that Fiona is his best friend and no one understands him the way she does. He looks forward to creating many beautiful memories together and to spend the rest of his life and eternity with his best friend.
