There's something about crawfish boils... If you're from the south you know that crawfish boils are a popular way to get together with groups of friends and family. Our mutual friends (and my neighbors), the Ellison’s, had us both over for a crawfish boil weekend. They knew we were both single and thought we’d be a good match, but they didn’t want to push too hard. After spending nearly the entire weekend together, I was upset when Michael didn’t ask for my number. I slid into his DM’s on Instagram and after a few weeks we exchanged phone numbers. Our first date was a Mike Ryan concert in Weatherford, TX and the rest is history!

My brother and sister-in-law, Claire, were in town for… you guessed it, a crawfish boil! Are we starting to see a trend here? After the crawfish boil, we thought it would be fun to show Clayton and Claire where Michael and I are building our first home. I was standing on the curb of our lot and when I turned around Michael was down on one knee. We’re so excited to start our life together.
