We met at a party at the classic West Village establishment, Houston Hall. We were introduced and ended up talking for hours at the bar. He texted me that evening asking when he could see me again. We planned to get drinks that Thursday night. We both rushed from work - him from the airport after a few days traveling for work and me from a particularly busy client project - to the bar and were self-conscious about our business casual, hurried appearances. We forgot about all that when we started chatting and getting to know each other. Immediately, we were comfortable, happy, and at ease with each other, and we realized that this could be it!
On a rainy New York City evening, Malcolm took me for a walk through Central Park on our way to a surprise dinner. He had planned a special evening, including a stay at the St. Regis. He was fiddling with the umbrella and his shoelace, and I was so confused as to where we were headed. Then, he fiddled with his shoelace one more time and I realized he was pulling a jewelry box out of his pocket! Of course, I said yes. We can't wait to celebrate with you in NYC!
