We’re Getting Married!

Once upon a warm summer in 2020, Malaya was hanging out with a few of her friends. She was scrolling on Instagram, stumbled upon Auggy’s account and scoped out his page before hitting the follow button. He followed back immediately, but took it a step further and sent her a direct message igniting a conversation first- which he still makes fun of her for to this day. Auggy was attending Lakeland College University, which was conveniently located 5 minutes down the road from where Malaya resided. She had her gaurd raised from the start- declining a few attempts at seeing Auggy in the beginning, but he was incredibly persuasive. Before long, they met for the first time enjoying tacos and horchata by Lake Michigan, watching a beautiful sunset together and chatting all night long. The perfect first date for the both of them. It didn’t take long to realize how well they went together. He was the calm to her storm and she showed him a side of life he’d never seen before. After 4 years of being together, they took their annual summer trip to Chicago which had become a yearly tradition at this point. A perfect disguise for Auggy to pop the big question at their favorite restaurant. Surprise, Surprise! Malaya said yes! Mark your calendars for June of 2026- because that’s when Auggy and Malaya will say “I do” and begin the next chapter of their love story, side by side.
