Carly and I met in 2022 at Lake Champion: a Young Life camp. I was a year long intern and Carly was a summer intern. I would slack off at work just to be close to Carly. She was magnetic and warm. I had finally built up the courage to ask her on a date and I had no idea what she would say. Thankfully, she said yes! On our date, Carly was looking beautiful in her white tank top and flannel. I tried a sip of her drink and she could see my hands shaking. I was so nervous and I still feel those butterflies when I get to sit across the table from her. That summer, I told Carly that I wanted to pursue her in a Godly relationship and cherish her. We started dating on August 19th 2022. Through the years and the distance between us (2,000 miles but who's counting), one thing has remained true: Carly is the one I want to spend my life with, in sickness and health and through the good and bad days.
