Tips on getting to Zakynthos:
Zakynthos is a beautiful island off the western coast of Greece in the Ionian Sea. It requires a little work to get to this island, but will be well worth the trip!
Depending on where you are coming from, the easiest way to arrive might be flying into Athens airport and then taking a flight from Athens to Zakynthos. There are limited flights from Athens to Zakynthos so be sure to check if you may need to spend a night or two in Athens before heading to Zakynthos.
Another option to consider is getting to Zakynthos by ferry. There are no ferries from Athens to Zakynthos so this requires some driving. If you wish to do this option we recommend renting a car in Athens, then driving about 3 hours to Killini where you can catch the ferry with your rental car.
We recommend renting a car during this trip or being in a group with someone with a rental car. You can rent cars on Zakynthos.
