Malaika met Garrett at an international event at Liberty University. After seeing Garrett at convocation every week they began to realize they had a lot in common. After asking Garrett to study together the relationship moved swiftly from there and now Malaika is excited to become Mrs Joy!
Maid of Honor
Monica is Malaika's high school best friend. From the moment they met in 8th grade they knew that they would have a lifelong friendship. They have always shared a love of swimming, binge watching Starwars and doing anything crafty. Monica has always been a true and loyal friend and we are beyond blessed to have her in our bridal party.
Bridesmaid
Ashely and Malaika became fast-friends when Malaika moved to Pennsylvania. The two have enjoyed countless Walmart adventures, Bringing Up Bates movie nights and Karaoke shenanigans. Ashely is also a gifted photographer and we have been grateful for her skills as well as her long-lasting friendship.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and Malaika met in high school after they were asked to co-share a lead role in the school play. Both girls were startled to find that they had so much in common including their love for reading and writing fictional stories. Kelsey is a very dedicated individual with extreme patience and perseverance and I am so grateful to call her friend.

Morgan and Malaika met shortly after Malaika started attending Liberty University. They met through Malaika's second cousin and realized they not only shared a major but also a love for yapping. Regular coffee dates helped strengthen their friendship and we are super keen to add Morgan's exuberance and enthusiasm to the bridal party.

Sara's friendship with Malaika began when they became roommates at Liberty their Sophomore year of college. Sara was not only a huge support and compassionate friend to Malaika during her time at Liberty but also first witnessed the start of Garrett and Malaika's relationship. We are so excited to have Sara as a bridesmaid to witness the fulfillment of this relationship.
Groom
Garrett met Malaika at a Liberty University International event and started to purposely sit next to her at Convocation/Chapel. He realized the amazing young woman of God Malaika is and he started to study with her and they began to grow a relationship that has lead to this amazing journey they have and will forever share.
Best Man
Trent is a good friend Garrett met at college who has been with him through the many ups and downs of college life. He has been a good and loyal friend even when it got rough and rocky. They have had just as many good fishing trips as unsuccessful ones but they would never trade that time together for anything. We are so pleased that Trent accepted the position of best man.
Groomsman
Jackson is a good family friend who is basically another brother. Garrett met Jackson when the Roper family moved into the neighborhood. Although they started off being acquaintances they have now grown to support and care for one another like family. Therefore we couldn't imagine anyone else to stand beside Garrett on his big day.

Jadyn is Garrett's soon to be brother-in-law. Since the first day of meeting each other they began a good friendship. Jadyn and Garrett share a similar love of the outdoors, sports, and dangerous animals. Jadyn is an amazing guitarist and a fantastic young man of God. Garrett is extremely blessed to call him brother.
Groomsman
Dillon is Garrett's brother, who is a great basketball player and a decent NBA 2k player. The two of them never have fully understood each other but they share a brotherly bond of which nothing can break. Dillon is admired and respected beyond his own understanding of how Garrett views him and considers himself extremely grateful and blessed for the relationship they share.

Isaac and Garrett have been friends since eighth grade. They have always enjoyed hiking fishing and enjoyed the outdoors together. They have stayed in touch over the years and have remained close. Garrett is honored to have Isaac stand beside him on his big day.
