Things To Do

If you're in town temporarily, here are a few of the places we love and recommend you visit!

Zillman Art Museum

40 Harlow Street, Bangor, ME 04401

Run by the University of Maine. Admission is free. The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, and there are two entrances with plenty of public parking nearby.

Waterville Opera House

1 Common Street, Waterville, ME 04901

A historic venue. The link will bring you to all events run by the organization, so some may be nearby instead of in the opera house.

The Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation

47 West Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401

This is a drive-by attraction, but one that many folks claim is a must-see. King no longer lives here. The house is a retreat for writers.

Renys Department Store

506 Somerset Avenue, Pittsfield, ME 04967

Reny's - a Maine Adventure! 🎶

Quarry Road Trails

300 Quarry Road, Waterville, ME 04901

This and the following entry are local trails. We are hopeful that it will be temperate this weekend, and that the leaves will still be vibrant!

Bangor City Forest

54 Tripp Drive, Bangor, ME 04401

Vittles Restaurant

107 Main Street, Pittsfield, ME 04967

Less than 10 minutes from the venue, this restaurant is a good family sit-down. The frizzled onions are a favorite of ours!

Brickyard Hollow Brewing Company

123 Madison Avenue, Skowhegan, ME 04976

This pizza place is a big go-to for us!

OPA

139 Main Street, Waterville, ME 04901

Greek cuisine, in the historical district near the river.

Amici's Cucina

137 Main Street, Waterville, ME 04901

Some of the best Italian food in the area!

Selah Tea Cafe

177 Main Street, Waterville, ME 04901

We went here on one of our first dates, and it remains a favorite. Small cafe featuring local and natural ingredients, including plenty of vegan & gluten free options.
