As many of you know, Cooper is Makynna’s first boyfriend and soon‑to‑be husband. Their story began at the NJC Holiday Tournament in 2022. Cooper was playing for the Holyoke basketball team, and Makynna was there supporting the Wray boys. It was a quick meeting, but it stuck. A few months later, in April of 2023, they started dating. Not long after, Cooper left for his freshman year at Baylor in Waco, Texas, and the two spent 2023–2024 navigating long distance. Through all the calls, visits, and miles between them, Cooper realized he wanted to build his life with Makynna. He transferred to Fort Hays State University the next semester so they could be together. A year and a half later, after growing through distance and change, they got engaged — and their next chapter began.
