Bri's Version: After my best friend Alex started dating a new guy, I had to creep him and all his friends on instagram to make sure he was a good guy. A few weeks later, when my sister asked me "what's your type?" I responded with, "not sure who this guy is but he's definitely my type" and showed her Peter's instagram. A few weeks later, Peter and I met and spent the night together at our local romantic bar, Joe Blacks. I fell in love with him fast, not only because he is 6'4", but because of his sweet smile and heart. We bonded over our love for the Office and Mac n' cheese. He shortly won the heart of my pup, Forrest, and I knew then I wanted to spend forever with him. Peter is my best friend and favorite person in the world. I'm so excited to marry this man! Peter's Version: There was something about the tall brunette girl clad in dark jeans and a leather jacket that told me I just had to meet her. That girl is now my fiancée and soon to be wife Brianna. After mustering up the courage to ask if she wanted a drink, she promptly took a sip and exclaimed “eww this is disgusting”. So even though for her it may not have been love at first sight, I was not deterred. After moving past my first embarrassing attempt to strike up a conversation, we began to bond over shared interests such as The Office and her joy of watching me play guitar hero (I am very good). Every time we saw each other I just seemed to fall for her a little more. We shared the same type of humor, the same anxiousness that comes with being in large crowds, and the same love of her giant white dog Forrest. Spending time with Bri soon became the thing I looked forward to the most, especially when that came with drinking kombucha on the couch watching Dexter. Spending time with Bri is still what I look forward to the most, and we have developed many new interests together and share the same hopes and dreams for what our future will look like. And I cannot wait to marry her and realize that future together.
