Jake and Jeannette's story began before they knew it - Jeannette and Jake went to high school a few miles apart. From there they both studied the same major at Texas A&M University. Their paths crossed through mutual friends and classes- although Jake claims he remembers Jeannette and she denies it. Their story picked back up as Jeannette finished an interview at Colliers International in Dallas- where Jake was working. He knew she was interviewing and was prepared to say hello as she walked past his desk on her way out. Once hired, Jake invited Jeannette to a few "industry happy hours" together. To this day Jake claims they were dates while Jeannette claims it was all business and networking.

Jake invited Jeannette on Saturday 06.08.19 to a whiskey tour at Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. Whiskey Ranch in Fort Worth. Little did Jeannette know there was a photographer present through the tour and following them to the spot where Jake would get down on one knee in front of the Fort Worth skyline. Jake thought of it all - from there they went to a surprise celebration with their families at their favorite spot, Joe T Garcia's. That was not the end of the special day - Jake had organized with best friend Kaitlyn DuBose and over 40 friends a surprise engagement party at Chelsea Corner in Dallas. It was a day full of love and memories that they both will cherish forever.
