FAQs

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Amazon, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, & Zola. More information about these retailers can be found on the registry page.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Casual. Casual dress means wedding guests can wear pretty much anything they want. We recommend a summer dress for the ladies and dress pants with button-down shirt or polo shirt for the guys.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hotel and AirBnB recommendations will be listed under the travel page.

Question

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

No. Acquiring lodging for the weekend will be up to you. Refer to the travel page for more information.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not able to provide transportation to the ceremony. The base does not allow rental cars through any gate except the Main Gate located off of Highway 98. This is also the gate closet to the Chapel.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Parking will be available for free at both locations.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors.

Question

May I Take Pictures or Video of the Ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that you keep electronic devices put away during the ceremony. However, at the reception, you may take as many photos or videos you would like! Be sure to use #makingthemaitens when posting to Social Media so we can find your posts!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Are there any local places you’d recommend I visit while I’m in town?

Answer

Refer to the things to do page for things to do in Fort Walton beach.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Just the reception. Anything else is up to you.
