From dining, to shopping, to golfing, Chisholm Creek has something for everyone. This 190-acre complex features distinctive entertainment venues such as Top Golf and iFly, leading outdoor outfitting retailer Cabela's, a high-end hotel, and a unique collection of high-end restaurants and retailers—all connected by miles of pedestrian trails and expansive green spaces. Matt and Brooke go to this area often. Our favorite restaurants are Chalk Sports Bar, Republic Gastropub, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Razzoo's Cajun Cafe, Firebird, The Hatch, etc. You can't go wrong with anything in this area, and it's only 11 minutes from Gaillardia!
This is OKC's first food hall, which opened in 2019! Located in the heart of Midtown, The Collective Kitchens + Cocktails is a gathering place that currently features 9 kitchens, a coffee shop, 40-foot bar, outdoor dog-friendly patio seating, a rooftop patio and bar with views of downtown, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and more! The Fried Taco is Matt and Brooke's favorite restaurant, but it is all delicious!
The Oklahoma City National Memorial is the memorial that honors the victims, survivors, rescuers, and all who were affected by the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. The memorial is located in downtown at the former site of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, which was destroyed in the 1995 bombing. The memorial is free of charge and such an eye-opening experience.
Enjoy the boathouse district or new riversport rapids with whitewater rafting and tubing. Climb the SandRidge Sky Trail and rock walls, zipline across the Oklahoma River, or get out on the river in a kayak or stand-up paddle board - all in the heart of OKC!
Located in north OKC, Neighborhood Jam is always hoppin’ and ready for a good time. Use the Yelp app to get on the waitlist ahead of time, or snag a spot at the long bar - it’s open seating. This is Matt and Brooke's go-to for brunch! (try "The Heap" - our fave!)
Stop and smell the flowers at the Myriad Botanical Gardens, a 17-acre landscape in the heart of downtown featuring ornamental gardens, native grasses, and the Crystal Bridge Conservatory featuring over 750 tropical and desert plants.
Very similar to The Collective, Parlor is a collection of chefs and mixologists coming together to advance the concept of what a restaurant/bar could be within an eclectic atmosphere. Located in Automobile Alley, Parlor is a place for people to relax and socialize while enjoying artisan cocktails, craft beer, and phenomenal food from all walks of life. Matt and Brooke loved their Providence Pizzeria restaurant!
Vast is located at the top of Oklahoma City's tallest building, the Devon Tower. Vast is known for its new American fine dining & cocktails and the best views in all of Oklahoma City. We went here for our 2-year anniversary and it was amazing!
