Kate Howard

Matron of Honor

Kate and I met at the University of Oregon through InterVarsity Graduate Christian Fellowship. Kate is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Spanish Literature at the University of North Carolina, but she and I have grown closer despite the distance. She has been a source of encouragement and support for me, and it has been a blessing for me to watch her grow, too! Fun fact: Kate probably knows every coffee shop and cafe in the Durham/Chapel Hill area. She's a great caffeine resource!

Brian Hall

Best Man

Brian is a friend that I met while at Hillsdale College. We were placed in the same dorm building (Galloway). Our time together was both deeply challenging and truly encouraging. I value his perspective. Now he teaches Latin at a public school in Virginia Beach. His stories endless are and second only to his ability to cook. Fun Fact: He combines his passions by cooking Greek food and believes that the cast iron skillet is integral to a good kitchen.

Megan Lindsay

Bridesmaid

Megan and I met through church in Eugene, OR, and became very fast friends. Megan has a heart of gold big enough for the whole world, is literally down for anything, and has an infectious smile. She spills over with joy, even during hardship. She is someone I truly admire. Fun Fact: Megan is a BOSS athlete and played professional soccer for teams in Norway, France, Bosnia, Finland, and Iceland.

Will Noyes

Groomsman

He is my oldest brother and earliest friend. Willard always had the gift of bringing creativity into whatever he did and so I followed his interests closely throughout childhood. We are not twins...but his influence on my life is undeniable. He has been in Norway studying at the University of Bergen and will graduate with a MA in 2021. Fun Fact: He loves rock climbing and even taught at a rock climbing camp in Romania.

Amanda Thomas

Bridesmaid

We met through karate back in middle school and have been friends ever since! Amanda and I shared so many formative experiences growing up and spent a lot of time together, including testing for our black belts and interning for two summers at the Sheriff's department. She has been my partner-in-crime (we definitely caused trouble) since very early on. Fun fact: Amanda is a proud cat mom of four (four!!!!) adorable cats (she's not allowed to foster anymore). She and her fiancé, Eddie, are also getting married in 2020!

Kevin Wilkinson

Groomsman

What a person. Kevin is also a friend from college. His personality can be summed up by his most used phrase "I'm not going to say no". His enthusiasm, intelligence, and loyalty continue to shape me today. Throughout our time we have been on a few incredible adventures. Fun Fact(s): Kevin has so many fun facts. He is a competitive rifleman, he loves WWII history, he knows how to weld, make furniture, how to shave an alpaca, he can drive a combine, he's an expert in identifying apple types, and he never forgets anything.

Tai Donor

Bridesmaid

Tai and I met at UO through InterVarsity Graduate Christian Fellowship, but we also went to the same church and lived in the same apartment complex! Tai is steady and down-to-earth, and watching her patience and humility has been grounding for me. In addition, Tai and her husband, Micah, are avid adventurers, both outdoors and in the kitchen (two things that are also near to my heart). Fun Fact: Tai is a world traveler and knows more Disney trivia than the average Disney lover.

Matt Newcom

Groomsman

We have years of shared experiences spanning a multitude of events and emotions. We were introduced in elementary school and have continued a friendship through college. It was Matthew who usually said what I did not and did what I could not. In that way, he has been a balance to my personality. He is studying engineering at the University of Illinois. Fun Fact: He likes to fish and has a YouTube channel you should subscribe to (good luck finding it).

Tawney Knecht

Bridesmaid

Tawney and I were both in the same chemistry lab at UO. Tawney also shares a spirit of adventure (or misadventure), welcomes and enjoys puns, is the queen of sass (she taught me everything I know), and has a special way with birds of prey (ask her about the owls, or her year in South Africa with the penguins). She welcomes deep conversation and (according to Hans) is a woman of sense. Fun Fact: Tawney completed the entire first six seasons of Game of Thrones in two weeks just so she could watch the final season with Meri and their friends. That's dedication.

Christiaan Noyes

Groomsman

While Christiaan is younger, he has proven to be my superior in a variety of activities. I always say he is like our mother in appearance, but like our father in all else (I consider myself the opposite). Our relationship has developed a lot in the years since I left home, but I appreciate his good spirit above all else. He is on a pre-med route at Calvin College in Grand Rapids. Fun Fact: He is a captain of the Calvin College Dancing Guild and choreographs epic swing dances. He's also a ladies' man; he once bought roses for every single girl in his high school class. Currently he's studying ticks in Michigan.
