We're Getting Married!

One man's passion for connecting our present condition to historical events lead to the celebration that brings you to this page. Brian was early into his pursuit of a degree in history within the USC History Dept in Columbia, SC when they first met. Makiera was a sophomore studying biology with goals of medical school. Brian's advisor/Makiera's boss was the connection they never spotted. Dr. Littlefield thought Brian needed to have fun with people near his age and Makiera took the lead on this mission. The two attended an event with two other friends and thought nothing else of it until the following summer in 2012 during the NEH preparation. Dinners and movies served as backdrops for insightful conversations and attractions despite a small age gap. The rest, as they say, is history.
