Question

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Due to the intimacy of the event, plus ones’ are limited. Please refer to your invitation to see if you have a plus one.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please attend the event in evening formal. Please come dressed to impress!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love the little ones, this is an adult only event. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the event. However, we do understand if you are unable to attend due to child care purposes.

What time should I arrive for the wedding ceremony and the reception?

Answer

You should arrive for both the wedding ceremony and the reception 30-45 minutes before the start time of both. Everything will be starting on time therefore the doors will be locked 10 minutes before the start time. Please see detail card sent with invitations.

What if I’m running late?

Answer

Unfortunately, if you are not present before the doors are locked, you will not be able to get in, there are no exceptions. Please plan to arrive 30-45min before the start time.

Do I have to show my invitation to get in?

Answer

There will be someone at the door of both the ceremony and reception to ensure you and your plus one, if you have one, are on the list. Please bring your invitations.

Where can I stay?

Answer

We understand that a portion of our guests will be coming from out of town. Please refer to the ‘travel’ section of the website to see surrounding hotels.

Where should I sit?

Answer

You are welcomed to sit anywhere for the ceremony, besides the first two rows. There will be a sign at the entrance of the reception. Please look for your name and sit in the assigned seat and at the assigned table.

Am I invited to the wedding ceremony and the reception?

Answer

You are welcomed to come to both the ceremony and reception. If you do not make it in time for the ceremony, you will still be able to attend the reception. Just remember that doors will lock 10min before the start time and no one will be allowed to enter after that.

When will RSVP open?

Answer

RSVP will open from April until May 31st. If you are not RSVP’d by then, it is assumed that you are not attending and will not be on the guest list.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

There will be a QR code on the invitation sent. That QR code will take you to our wedding website, once you’re there, click on the RSVP page, type in your name and you’ll be able to RSVP. It will open in April and CLOSE May 31st. Once the RSVP is closed, you will not be able to RSVP and it will be assumed that you are not attending the event. So please do so before the deadline.

Do I have to RSVP to both the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Once you are on the RSVP page, there will be two events to RSVP to, the ‘ceremony’ and the ‘reception’. Please RSVP to the event you are attending. If you plan on coming to both, please RSVP to both.

What if I miss the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Unfortunately if you miss the deadline, you will not be added to the list of the people attending and therefore will not be allowed to enter.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar. For the safety of everyone, please drink responsibly.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

It is against SC law to supply alcohol without a liquor license. Please do not bring any alcoholic beverages with you. Doing so will result in removal from the premises.

Do I need my ID to drink?

Answer

Yes, you must be 21 and over to drink. The bartender has the right to ID anyone who approaches the bar and to refuse those who do not present identification, please remember to bring identification.

Can I take photos?

Answer

Out of respect for the bride and groom, please refrain from taking photos. There will be a professional photographer.

Can I post photos on social media?

Answer

Due to the intimacy of the event, please do not post any pictures of the bride and groom on social media.

What if I have a food allergy or dietary restrictions?

Answer

If you have a food allergy or dietary restrictions, please state what that food allergy or dietary restriction is when you RSVP.

Is there parking?

Answer

There is a parking lot, that is free, that you are able to park in.

Is there transportation?

Answer

There will not be transportation provided from and to hotels. Please ensure you have a safe and effective way of arriving to the event.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Although we cannot predict the weather, in August, it is generally warm. However, both the wedding ceremony and the reception will be indoors.

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and reception are in the same building.

Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding?

Answer

Please contact Makiah, the bride via text @ 845-275-9369 and Dorothy, the maid of honor, for the day of, via text @ 845-380-4277, as the bride will not be accepting phone calls/text messages the day of.
