The first thing that Justin would tell you about their first date is that Taylor saw him walking to the restaurant and purposefully took a detour just so that she didn't have to sit next to him at the red light! Justin loves to remind Taylor about this incident on a regular basis and never hesitates to share this story with anyone who asks how we met. Justin and Taylor met on a dating app in October of 2019, and after a few weeks of talking they decided to meet for a few drinks at the Granfalloon on Halloween night since neither of them had other plans. Taylor would tell you that Justin was immediately intrigued by her business that she had just opened, and that she was slightly overwhelmed by all of the questions he was asking!   After a few drinks, they both decided that they liked each other enough to go to dinner.  Justin suggested that they go to one of his favorite spots just south of the plaza -- Il Centro. Taylor quickly said yes and was relieved that she didn't have to make the decision. To this day if you ask Taylor what type of food she thought that they were going to eat she would have 100% said Mexican food... but little did she know that it was a very small, local Italian restaurant! Justin wined and dined her with pizza, pasta and wine.  At the end of the meal, their favorite waiter, Ernest, suggested that they should get bread pudding for dessert (even though Taylor fully admitted to Justin that she didn't like bread pudding).  Justin proceeded to order the bread pudding and kept telling Taylor that Ernest swore that it wasn't the same thing as "traditional bread pudding" and that it was going to be delicious... well it turns out that neither of them actually like bread pudding. It was a fun memory that they both still laugh about, and Taylor often reminds Justin that she tried to warn him. After dinner, Taylor was even nice enough to give Justin a ride home... what a difference a couple of hours can make! And the rest is history in the making!
