Tuesday Evening Welcome Event

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees.

For guests that will be in town on Tuesday the 7th, please feel free to join us for a very informal gathering at Buena Vista Suites. The exact location within the hotel is TBD, so we will meet outside of the Bistro Pizza Express at 6:00pm. Some pizzas and appetizers will provided to snack on, and we would ask that each guest take care of their individual drinks (there is a bar). No RSVP is necessary, please stop by if you feel so inclined! We would love to see you.

Ceremony and Reception

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Beach Attire: Wear linen pants, short-sleeved button downs, maxi dresses, and sandals.

We have a minibus reserved to transport guests to and from Buena Vista Suites. The bus will be in front of the hotel at approximately 3:30pm on January 8th, and will depart at approximately 3:45pm. The shuttle will ONLY be transporting guests to and from Buena Vista Suites, but please feel free to ride the shuttle even if you are not staying at Buena Vista Suites. The ceremony begins at 4pm and will be outdoors, uncovered. The reception will also be outdoors, but will be covered. Weather predictions have hovered around 70 degrees for the high on the 8th. We suggest at least bringing a light jacket. The shuttle will be ready to start loading guests after the reception at approximately 7:45pm to return to the hotel. Please don't feel obligated to be ready that early. The reception ends at 8:00pm, but there will only be one trip back to the hotel, and we will make sure everyone that needs a ride back is on board before leaving.

Day at Universal Studios!

9:00 am - 7:00 pm

The votes are in, and Universal Studios is the winner! Everyone who RSVP'd for the day at the parks will receive a 1 day, park-to-park ticket, valid for both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure on January 9th. If you are able to attend the Welcome Gathering on Tuesday evening, you will receive the tickets at that time, otherwise we will have them at the ceremony. The parks are open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. We suggest arriving early, approx. 30 minutes or so if you want to be there when the parks open. **Please Note: Parking is not included with your admission ticket. The minimum price for parking at Universal is $25. Uber/Lyft are also an option for getting to the parks. Last time I (Abbey) visited universal studios, I took an Uber to and from the park, and I thought it was well worth the expense. Universal will allow guests to bring in empty (non-glass) water bottles and snacks. Weather predictions for the 9th have been partly sunny, with the high in the low to mid 70s.
