We always had similar friend groups, but never had the opportunity to talk one on one. I remember showing my mom pictures & videos of Robbie with his girlfriend (ok looking back at it now it’s a little weird, but moving on) telling her how I wish someone would love me the way he loved her. Fast forward to August of 2015, he messaged me, asking to formally meet. I agreed & we finally met on August 25 at the Starbucks on Cumberland Avenue on UTK campus. (I know the exact date & location because he takes me back every year on the same day, & we always get the same order ❤️)
**Before any milestone, Robbie always “warns” me before he does anything. For example, before he first kissed me he said, “I’m just warning you, I’m about to kiss you.” (Don’t worry mom, that wasn’t until the third date. No, I’m not lying).** As we walked around downtown Knoxville reminiscing on all of our memories, we made our way to the waterfalls. It wasn’t long before I saw a little brown wooden box, hidden deep under some rocks, barely visible underneath the sticks & grass. I opened the box to a letter that read “Just warning you, I’m going to ask you to marry me,” & sure enough I turned around to see my best friend down on one knee. I’m sure by now you know how the rest of the story goes. ❤️😉
I will marry my best friend on May 25th. We have prayed & praised God for this love & for placing one another in each others lives. Not many people get to experience a relationship like the one we have, & we are aware of that & so so thankful for one another. We thank each & everyone of you from the bottom of our hearts for the outpouring & unconditional love & support you have shown us thus far. We cannot wait to tie the knot & celebrate with our closest friends & family. ❤️ Xoxo Rob & Kenzie
