We met seven years ago and have since grown into adults together, shaping each other over the years. It's been a blessing and a privilege to spend any amount of time together, especially the better part of a decade. Landon proposed on a Friday afternoon, in front of Makenzie's favorite view of the Atlanta skyline. Before leaving for what he told Makenzie was a rooftop dinner, he requested that she wear one of her favorite white dresses. When they arrived at the rooftop, Landon grabbed them both some drinks and they sat in the sun and talked for a while before Makenzie got up to use the restroom. Upon arriving back at the table, Landon asked Makenzie to meet him by the railing in front of the Ponce building. He pulled out of a small gift out of his pocket and gave it to Makenzie. It was a white gold version of a bracelet he had bought her years earlier. The clasp on the original bracelet, inscribed with "L + M," had broken and Makenzie was thrilled to have a replacement. Without reading the bracelet, she gave Landon a huge hug but he urged her to read it. Instead of the original inscription, the bracelet read "Makenzie Terry." When she looked up from the bracelet, mouth hanging open, Landon got down on one knee and pulled a ring box from his pocket. Moments later, Landon tells Makenzie that there is another surprise right around the corner. When she turned around to look, her parents and Landon's parents appeared. It was vey important to Makenzie that their families be there, and Landon made sure it happened. He even paid Makenzie's best friend to make sure her nails were done the week prior. That night, Landon & Makenzie, and their families celebrated on the rooftop and later walked to Cookout for corndogs, hushpuppies, and ice cream.
