We’re getting married!

It was a Saturday, which started off with the usual Saturday morning snuggles with the dogs and breakfast then I started getting ready to go to our hair appointment that we had scheduled for that morning. When I came back into the bedroom Lex had laid out my favorite dress, along with a note and a sunflower. The note said that we would be going to a picnic lunch after our hair appointment. Which something like this was not unusual, we do stuff like this for each other once in awhile. Although I knew what the plan was I did not know any details. So when we pulled up to the sunflower field I was so excited. I had been harping her to go to one for a few weeks. they are my favorite flower. We walked round the field and found a spot to lay out our picnic blanket and lunch. At this point Lex had dodged eating breakfast and isn't really eating lunch, so I start asking 100 questions as to why she has not eaten yet. She dodges every single one and I later learned it was because she was so nervous. She suggests we take some pictures before it starts to rain. We start walking around to take some pictures and Lex tells me to turn and look at the flowers so she can take a picture, then I hear her walking up behind me. She says turn around and she was down on one knee with the ring. I immediately start to cry, and hysterically laugh. After I had calmed down from the initial shock I of course said YES!
