In May of 2020, Makenzee’s friends planned to go on a beach trip. One person ended up not going and Jake, a groomsmen, invited Brice to fill the spot. The first time we saw each other in person was at a Shell gas station in Alabaster, AL on the way down to Gulf Shores when the girls met up with the guys. We spent the next week at the beach getting to know each other and found out we had much in common. As the trip was coming to a close, we didn't know how much we would stay in contact considering we lived over 5 hours away from each other. About two weeks after we got back from the beach, Brice headed down to Chattanooga to visit. After a few months of talking, texting, and facetiming we officially started dating on September 7th, 2020. We have lived over 3 hours apart since we started dating, however we tried to see each other as much as possible on weekends, summers, and holidays. Fast forward almost three years later, we got engaged on June 25th, 2023 on a cruise to Mexico.
