Josh and I talked on and off a couple times throughout highschool -he was smitten, what can I say ;) He was two years older than me which led me to be a little bit shy around him (okay borderline mute) whenever we hung out. We didn't start to get super serious until we were both in college when we officially started dating on September 18, 2016. Fast forward a few years later- November 23, 2018 My mom, sisters, and I went Black Friday shopping in STL, and later that night I planned to meet Josh and his family in STL to go on a horse drawn carriage ride through the Christmas lights at Tilley's park. After my mom dropped me off, Josh and I loaded our own carriage and we went through the lights and it was absolutely beautiful. When we were nearing the end of our ride, our driver pulled off and asked if we wanted to get out and take a picture. At that time Josh started breathing a little heavier and started to tell me how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and at that time he dropped down on one knee (while hitting a button in his pocket that lit up a light that said Will You Marry Me). After I said yes, I heard cheering in the background where our families had been standing the whole time, along with the photographer and I couldn't have been any happier. Josh then told me he had another small gift and of course I was just blown away by the ring at the moment. We got on the carriage and rode back where he had me unwrap a gift in front of our families. It was a picture frame that had three pictures on it (picture on website) and it was of him and a puppy that he had been hiding from me for three weeks. Josh then went to his truck and brought out the cutest little puppy to me--Rooney. It was literally the most perfect night of my life, and I am truly blessed to have such a loving, kind, and caring fiancé and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with him! Bring on September 7th!
