FAQs

Question

What time should we be there by?

Answer

We recommend being at the lodge at 3pm. The ceremony starts at 4:30 pm and there are appetizers before in the lodge, so you should get to the lodge to allow yourself time to eat and drink, get acquainted with the layout for the reception, and have enough time to drive to the ceremony site and get a seat. Please see detailed schedule tab for timeline!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are not allowing people to bring plus ones unless they are addressed in the invitation due to our max limit with space and wanting it to be an intimate ceremony for us. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal is the dress code!

Question

Are there Uber and/or taxi services near the lodge?

Answer

Due to Foresthill being such a small and remote area, Uber is not available and taxi services are offered from Auburn. Auburn is about 20 miles from Foresthill, so the taxi ride is predicted to be very pricey. We recommend having a designated driver or finding carpool options. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Question

Is there a time that we need to leave by?

Answer

The party NEVER stops at Forest House Lodge. Once the music and reception end around 10 p.m., guests who are 18+ and would like to stay are encouraged to continue the party downstairs with karaoke, games (black jack, pool, etc.) and comfy couches to hangout and drink with good company.

Question

Are you requiring proof of COVID vaccine or negative test?

Answer

We strongly encourage everyone to get tested before the wedding and to please stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms. We will not be enforcing proof of vaccination or a negative test.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Although we love kids so much, we are not allowing kids at the wedding due to limited space unless they are addressed in the invitation. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
