We have only invited guests/families whose names formally appear on your wedding invitation & save the date. If you received a plus one, that will be addressed on the envelope. Thank you for understanding!
We love your little ones! If your children were invited, they will appear as "family" on your wedding invitation & save the date. We have limited this type of invite because we are keeping our wedding as primarily adults only. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day, so please dress in semi-formal attire. For those who want to wear stilettos, the ceremony area is mostly concrete with the exception of some grass at the seating area. Please refrain from wearing dark green/emerald as that color is reserved for the wedding party.
We would kindly ask you to put away phones, cameras and other recording devices during our ceremony. We have hired professional photographers and videographers to capture this moment. Feel free to use these devices before and after our ceremony!
If you choose to drive to the venue instead of taking the shuttle, there is a large parking lot directly on the property for you to park anywhere you'd like unless otherwise directed by Waterview staff.
Both! The pre ceremony refreshments and the ceremony itself will be outdoors overlooking Lake Zoar. It could be chilly with the breeze coming off of the lake, so keep that in mind. The cocktail hour and reception will primarily be inside with access to an outdoor courtyard and balconies.
In southwest Connecticut, the weather in October tends to range from 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors at sunset.
Please come ready to eat and drink! There will be a great variety of food and options for everyone. In terms of drinks, you can expect an open bar all evening.
