"Our story begins in 2008 as 8th graders, not knowing a single thing about ourselves or how to love somebody else. One day I got a note from the only girl I liked and never told her. The note read “I really like you. Do you like me?” I sat up so quick and looked at her with the biggest smile on my face. I wrote back “yes I like you” so our innocent love and innocent middle school “dating” began. We dated all the way to the end of 9th grade because Ali moved back to Burleson. Regardless the distance, we remained great friends and always knew that there was something still there. We had our relationships with others and what not. Yet, I saw Ali frequently because my neighbor was her best friend! So I guess you can say love always finds its way and it’s God’s will.. It’s inevitable. Fast forward to the end of summer in 2013, after we graduated high school and are starting our lives as adults. We hadn’t talked or seen each other in a while and one day I look down at my phone to a text from Ali. Honestly my heart raced because of how unexpected it was. We talk and talked, caught up and started actually dating.. for real this time. It hit me that what I felt when I was a kid, is exactly what I feel now. Because I have a better understanding of it now, It’s love. The willingness to put her before myself. Five years later on February 12th 2019 we find out we’re having a baby. October 16th 2019 that beautiful baby girl Mila was born. For Ali’s birthday 2019 I bought her tickets to see The Nutcracker. A ballet she’s been wanting to see since she was 6 and had never gone (I already knew I was going to propose before I bought the tickets). Neither of us had seen the Christmas tree in Sundance Square, so it all worked out perfectly. I had both of our families there to surprise her along with our beautiful baby girl. So on December 13th 2019 I asked Ali to marry me. To spend the rest of our lives together." - Groom
