Amanda and Eric began talking early July through the dating app "Coffee Meets Bagel." After two weekends of traveling for both of them, they were finally able to meet on a Tuesday evening at Cooper's Hawk for Happy Hour. They drank good wine and talked about their shared love for Jesus, personality tests, and Jacksonville. It was an easy decision after that to continue seeing each other and their feelings bloomed.

Amanda and Eric had discussed getting engaged by the end of the year, but Eric wanted it to be a surprise. He teased that it may not happen until after the holidays. Then one day in October, he suggested brunch and a walk on the beach. He got down on one knee at the beach in front of the Casa Marina, where close friends and family were watching from the rooftop. Amanda was completely surprised and overjoyed. She said yes and the party got started!
