Our Story

Solomon and Kayla first met when they were paired together in the bridal party of a friend’s wedding. Both arrived with the same mindset: if the Lord truly had someone for them, He would have to make it undeniable. They were done “making their own way” and choosing partners for themselves. At the rehearsal, the Holy Spirit stirred Solomon’s heart the moment he saw Kayla. From then on, he was determined to learn more about this mysterious woman from another state. Was she even single? That night, after hours of deep questions from Solomon and honest, unwavering answers from Kayla, they both realized something extraordinary had begun. As the wedding night came to a close, Solomon asked for Kayla’s phone number. To his surprise, she not only gave it to him but added, “You should call me.” Kayla wasn’t interested in anyone who wasn’t serious about her or their relationship with the Lord—and she saw in Solomon a man committed to both. Over the first five months, their long-distance relationship blossomed through countless phone calls, FaceTime conversations, and visits to Virginia. In the Shenandoah Valley, memories were made that will last a lifetime. One moment stood out: Solomon, a big, muscly Marine with a goofy grin, misquoted the lyrics to “Country Roads,” saying “Standing on a river” instead of “Shenandoah River”—while standing right beside the actual river itself. Kayla laughed, and in that moment, their bond grew even deeper. Eventually, Kayla felt the Lord leading her back to Minnesota, where she had grown up. Solomon helped her make the long drive, filled with new memories and anticipation for the next chapter. Back in Minnesota, they embraced “leg two” of their adventure—five months of in-person dating, family gatherings, and daily drives across the miles just to be near each other. Their love grew stronger with every passing day. Those months were a whirlwind of discovery, not of clashing worlds, but of hearts being gently knit together by the Lord. Solomon, led by the Spirit, was called to pursue Kayla’s heart with devotion and grace. And though her life had been shaped by deep family traditions, what defined their journey was not difference, but the beauty of God’s presence at the center—guiding them through moments of clarity in His Word and conversations that deepened their bond. Guided by Christ’s example of love for the church, Solomon pursued Kayla with patience and tenderness. His devotion reflected covenant love, the kind that promises protection and faithfulness long before it is fully understood. From the very beginning, he vowed to love and lead Kayla in the Lord, not through demand, but through the quiet demonstration of love. Encouraged by Solomon’s steadfastness and the gentle urging of the Holy Spirit, Kayla began to seek God’s Word for herself. That pursuit ignited revelation, sparking a light that transformed their relationship into what it is today—a living testimony of grace and romance, written by the Author of love Himself. Now, Solomon and Kayla’s mission is to love others as Christ has loved them—meeting people with compassion, pointing them toward truth, and glorifying Him in every aspect of their marriage. Their prayer is that their union will shine as both example and invitation, a reminder that true love is found when God is at the center
