1) Buy and pack sunscreen before the trip! (It is very overpriced at the resort). 2) We always buy snacks and put them in our carry on to have snacks available on the flight and in the hotel room throughout the week! (Room service is available almost all day if you don’t decide to do this). 3) Other than the buffet and walk into order restaurants, all places that require a reservation and have a dress code of no jeans. (Women normally wear a dress and men wear a button up with golf shorts). 4) If you do make reservations and don’t show up, the resort will charge you a fee each time, so only make reservations if you plan on really going (: 5) Make all food reservations and spa reservations when we arrive or towards the beginning of the trip to make sure you get the days and times you want! (There is limited availability). 6) There are shows every night at the theatre for adults and kids! 7) All the water at the resort is filtered! Each level of the resort buildings has a water machine to fill up with the glass bottles you are given in your room! 8) Each room comes with a mini fridge that they restock almost daily. 9) You have to keep track of your towels after getting them! Instead of getting a new one every day, the resort asks you to switch out old or wet ones for new ones at the buildings by the pool! 10) Once the plane lands, there will be transportation waiting for us to take us to the resort! 11) All the bars hide top shelf liquor until you ask for it! 12) The workers will not let you into any food place if you do not have a coverup over your swimsuit.
13) Out by the beach, you can find bars and a daily lunch buffet that has hotdogs, burgers, french fries, etc. 14) The weird looking monkeys are called Coati (Kew-wat-tee) and they will take your food straight off your plate if they get the chance! 15) To get the best seats by the pool, someone has to wake up early and put your towels on the seat to “save it”. 16) Your room is cleaned daily, sometimes twice a day by the maids. If you do not want this, they have do not disturb signs that go on the door! 17) There is a safe in each room for your belongings. If you decide to use this, it is found in your closet, and you set the code to it once you get into your room! 18) If you get the iberostar app, this will tell you all the food places that are open at which times of day along with keep track of your reservations! 19) The resort is very large so many people call for golfcarts when going to dinner reservations or to the shopping center!
