Their journey began in keyboard class in elementary school. Makayla was hopeless at reading sheet music and would sit next to Daniyel in class so she could copy his hand movements. Their relationship continued into high school where they became close friends performing in theatre class and attending school dances together. After years of crushing on each other, they finally decided to admit their feelings and began dating their junior year.
