We have known each other for years growing up together in our church network. We would see each other at camps, and different church events, but nothing other than just being friends. That is until Alan's brother and sister in-law, Douglas and Camilles wedding. We got to see each other for the first time in a couple of years and that is what started it all. We started talking the very next day just to get to know each other, and what feels like seven very long months later we started dating. Two years later and and we are planning the rest of our lives together!

Well it would have been sooner had Makayla not messed up the plans... Oops. But Alan planned whole afternoon down at Beneath the Oaks Winery. He told Makayla it was for his parents anniversary and his sister Carries birthday, and she totally bought it. He said that his mom had booked Makayla's brother in-law, Andrew to take family photos for the family. So we did family photos and started on the couple photos and then when he popped the question, and obviously Makayla said yes!
