Back in January of last year, Ryan had told me that he wanted to go to Vegas for his birthday weekend. I immediately started planning it and getting group messages together. We planned a birthday dinner the day before we left for Vegas, that way the people who couldn't make it to Vegas could at least go to dinner to celebrate Ryans birthday! .... Or so I thought... I only wanted one thing from the proposal and that was to be surprised. And boy was I. June 20th comes around and it's time to start getting ready for Vegas. I go and get my nails done with all the girls, go do a pilates class, go home and start getting ready for dinner. Ryan had suggested that we stop somewhere else first to get a drink, just the two of us, before we head to dinner. I thought it was a great idea considering we were about to be seeing a lot of people at his bday dinner. So we head on over to a place called Olive & Ivy. We sit down have a couple drinks, then it's time to head to dinner! I was so oblivious..I didn't see the photographer (one of our good friends), and Ryan just said he wanted to take a picture on the bridge. Then BOOM. He's on a knee telling me how much he loves me and asking me to marry him. I honestly thought he was playing a mean joke on me because he knows how much I've wanted to get married but he always seemed to say it wasn't time yet. So I honestly didn't believe that it was actually happening. After asking him many times if he was being serious, I said yes and it was the best moment of my life. When he got up we hugged and he whispered "My birthday dinner that YOU planned is actually your surprise engagement dinner". I cried so much I couldn't believe it. When we got to dinner, we walked in through the doors and all I could hear was cheering and clapping. That's when I spot my whole family sitting there along side Ryans family and all of our friends. I have never been happier and it couldn't have gone any more perfectly!! I cannot wait to marry this man!
