We initially met as friends 15 years ago at a bowling alley, upon first introductions we had a lot in common and talked the entire night away. We remained great friends over the years and always enjoyed each other's company. In 2019 after several failed relationships we had both given up on love. We always hung out in group settings, however, once at a taco fest, it felt as though we were the only people present. This is when the sparks began. We decided to go out again just the two of us and that night never ended. We talked and reminisced until the next morning. Unable to get me out of his mind, Major finally worked up the nerves to ask me out on a date to Coopers Hawk, he had no idea this was one of my favorite restaurants (I guess GOD was on his side lol). 5 hours and 3 bottles of wine later, Major told me how he felt about me and I said HELL yes to being his girlfriend! The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:7 that love endures all things. It tolerates wrong accusations. It endures insults. It endures, with joy, the scorn of the world. It learns to press on even when it is overcome by its own sense of guilt and shame because it sees beyond the present to the crown Christ holds out. Biblical endurance is therefore a helpless holding on, by faith alone, to the Savior who is holding on to us all the way through.
