The Byodo-In Temple

Admission to the Byodo-In Temple grounds is General Admission $5.00. The Temple Grounds are open 8:30am - 5:00pm daily. Last entrance to Temple Grounds is 4:45pm.

Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden

Free admission. Open 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Sunday. Wear shoes you're comfortable in to roam around and explore the grounds.

Chinaman's Hat Island

Kailua Beach Park

This is Greggs favorite place to paddle board. There is a couple shops to rent kayaks from where you can paddle out to Popoia Isalnd, the small bird sanctuary island, or down the river under the bridge.

Halona Blowhole Lookout

This was the first place Gregg went to after landing in Hawaii back in April of 2018. This was the first place Gregg took Sarah wen she landed in Hawaii back in May 2018 and this is the place where Gregg proposed to Sarah in April 2021. There is a little beach down below to catch some rays and waves. Parking is tight up at the lookout. On clear days, you might even spot the islands of Molokai and Lanai in the distance.

Maili Pillbox

Beautiful West side hiking spot. Make sure to bring lots of water and a hat.

Hawaiian Electric Beach Park

This is our favorite snorkeling spot on the island. Experience beautiful fish and coral.
