Our story began in St. George, Utah, while I was finishing my undergraduate degree at Utah Tech University. Anthony was already settled into a full-time coaching role at OrangeTheory, and we were introduced through a mutual friend. We went on a few dates, but things didn't click right away. At one point, I even invited him to a Jazz game… and then, at the last minute, decided to bring my mom instead. Most people probably would’ve walked away after that. But not Anthony. Instead, he teased me about it, and—surprisingly—that’s what broke the ice and really sparked something between us. After I finished school, I moved back to Salt Lake City and bought my own place. We did long-distance for about six months, but eventually, Anthony made the decision to move up and be with me. That moment really showed me how serious he was about us. We’ve lived together for over five and a half years now, and in that time, we’ve gone through a lot. Learning how to live together wasn’t always easy. We’ve both faced career shifts, we got a dog, and we even navigated the heartbreaking loss of a parent. Through all of that, we’ve learned how to really see and accept each other—not just for the best parts, but for everything in between. What I’ve come to understand is that love isn’t about being perfect—it’s about finding someone who stays. Someone who shows up every day, even when it’s hard. Someone who’s there through the quiet moments, the messy ones, the ones that don’t make it onto social media. Our journey hasn’t always been picture-perfect, but it’s been real. And it’s in those small, honest moments of support and understanding that I’ve found the kind of love that lasts.
