Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids - we really do! But we want our wedding to be your night off. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. We respectfully ask that children do not attend.

Is there transportation to and from the event?

Answer

Αs there is no parking available at the venue, we have arranged for a trolley to transport guests to/from the event. Ιt is a historic-style trolley and we can’t wait for you all to take a ride! If you are staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Outer Banks/Corolla (333 Audubon Dr, Corolla, NC 27927), the trolley will pick you up at 3:40pm. All other guests may park at the Public Beach Access (Yaupon Ln, Corolla, NC 27927). The trolley will offer two pick-up times from this location - 3:50pm and 4:10pm. The event ends at 10:00pm. However, the trolley will be available to take guests back to their car on 30 minute intervals starting at 7:30pm. The last ride will depart the venue at 10:30pm. In the case of an emergency, a vehicle will be available on-site.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. It is the beach after all!

Will the event be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! Our ceremony will be held indoors and the reception will be held outdoors.

Can I take and post pictures of the event on social media?

Answer

Ceremony: We prefer that our ceremony is phone-free and request that no photos are taken. Reception: Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #joebrit so we can see all of your pictures when the excitement dies down!
