We met while working at Wegmans in 2017. Maiya was a senior in high school and Zachary was going to Penn State that fall. It was the typical "no mom we're just friends I swear" in the beginning but by March we had started dating. This was all thanks to a bad snow storm that year. And the rest is history... We stayed together through the rest of high school for Maiya (all four months of it) and four years of college for both of us. We handled long distance during Maiya's first semester of college but then she moved home and made everyone's lives much easier. As soon as we graduated we headed on a trip to Mexico with both of our families to celebrate and figure what we wanted to do next. Next being getting full time jobs, learning how to navigate not being students any more and eventually buy our dream home. After buying our home we decided to take the next step and look at rings... Naturally Maiya didn't like anything so Zachary had to design one. Once it was ready, he proposed in the living room of our home with a beautiful speech and plenty of tears. We got to surprise our friends the very next day at our Christmas party which turned into a pseudo engagement party. We have accomplished so many amazing things already and are so excited to share the next major accomplishment (finally saying "I do") with all of you.
